Helyne Joseph, Founder
Helyne Joseph grew up in the sunny Caribbean chasing a white ball around the golf course and has created her own definition of being a professional golfer. Graduated as a Materials Science Engineer, certified as an Applied Bioinformatician and has over 10 years of experience within the Sciences.
Earned professional golf status with the EPSON tour, founded and operates Empowerment Through Golf, a San Diego 501c3 who is Diversifying the Fields of Golf & STEM/STEAM, by Empowering the Next Generation to Walk Through the Doors to Success. Currently teaching golf full-time as a member of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Professionals and operating from Sorrento Canyon Golf Center, in San Diego.Helyne wants you to be equipped with the best golf knowledge, so you feel at ease & confident when you think about playing golf!
Sriya Malladi, Operations
Born and raised in the Silicon Valley, Sriya has always been interested in STEM. She is currently a Global Marketing Manager for a Seattle-based Biotech company. She studied Biochemistry & Cell Biology with a Minor in Business at UC San Diego in La Jolla, CA. During Sriya’s time as a Biotech professional, she has held various positions in R&D, Applications, and Sales.
In her free time, she partners with local STEM programs to educate youth about science and genomics. Additionally, Sriya is a mentor for undergraduates pursuing Life Science fields at UC San Diego. As an avid player of sports, Sriya joined ETG to help empower athletes interested in pursuing STEM fields. Feel free to reach out to her to learn more about her story!
Fred Elis, Partner Relations
Board Member
Fred began his career as an equipment engineer & process engineer in the semiconductor industry, then in the plastics industry before entering the biotech industry. Currently, he leads the operational strategy & portfolio management and is tasked with navigating his company through competing priorities to ensure execution in alignment with corporate initiatives. He hopes to translate his experiences in support of the mission of Empowerment Through Golf.

Sherrie is a resourceful and innovative business leader. She brings over 15 years of experience as a global business development manager with expertise in all facets of account development, cultivation, and overall management to Empowerment Through Golf.
